These paintings created during the pandemic address themes of nature that have been increasingly disrupted by human activity. The time during quarantine brought the human effect on our world into focus when skies cleared without the daily onslaught from our pollutants. “Dry Water” deals specifically with ongoing problems from drought in California, a situation which will only become worse with climate change. “Tree” addresses the upheaval caused by a rapidly changing world.

Laura Corallo-Titus received her MFA from Claremont Graduate University in 1990. Her work has been included in group shows throughout California and she’s had solo exhibits at San Jose City College Art Gallery, Chappellet Winery, Patricia Sweetow Gallery, and Merced College Art Gallery in the past decade.

Her work is in public collections such as Monterey Museum, Brand Library and Art Galleries, Crocker Museum, Hewlett Packard and Chappellet Winery. She lives and works in Napa, CA and travels frequently to Berlin, Germany.
